ABOUT US

The MOTHER’S MILK DONATION ASSOCIATION (580594315) is a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Sharon Bransburg Zabary, PhD and a certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), a leader in the field of breastfeeding in Israel, Together with Dr. Ravid Shechter, PhD and Dr. Sharon Haramati, PhD, Co-Founders of MyMilk laboratories LTD, an innovation center for breast milk analysis and clinical diagnostics.

 

The MOTHER’S MILK DONATION ASSOCIATION’s goal is to establish and operate a human milk bank according to the highest safety standards and international guidelines. Full spectrum of  operation including receiving human milk donation, processing and treating human milk, testing and selling, all according to the criteria and statements defined by the ministry of health and or other health organization dealing with human milk banks.

MOTHER’S MILK DONATION ASSOCIATION is in direct ongoing contact with the Israel health ministry department regarding the operation of milk bank in Israel, and the operation standards for providing NICU with milk donation.  The MOTHER’S MILK DONATION ASSOCIATION intends to comply with these requirements.

MyMilk partnered with the largest private clinical laboratory in Israel AML and nowadays operate a full time laboratory specialized in human milk analysis. MyMilk will provide the human milk safety testing required from human milk bank operation.

 

 

The MOTHER’S MILK DONATION ASSOCIATION received the personal blessing from Dr. Lisa rubin, MD, Head of the Department of Maternal and Child Health at the Israeli Ministry of Health, Prof. Francis Mimouni, MD neonatology, Chief of Israel national council for the child, and by Dr. Samuel Zangen, the chief of the Israel neonatal society.

 

The head of the professional advisory board of the AMOTA is Prof. Eidelman, neonatology, former director of NICU at share Zedek Medical center in Jerusalem, a president of the American breastfeeding medicine association and the head of committee policy statement section on breastfeeding American academy of pediatrics.

OUR TEAM

Sharron Bransburg  Zabary, PhD, IBCLC – founder

Sharron is an experienced and certified lactation consultant (LLL, IBCLC) and a leader in the field of breastfeeding in Israel. Sharron was a member of the professional consultant committee of the Ministry of health in the issue of Human milk bank establishment and operation in Israel. Sharron holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and M.Sc. and Ph.D. in biochemistry from Tel Aviv University, and as part of her Post doc Fellow Sharron conducted a research on breast milk. Sharron breast fed all her four boys (with a total of over 13 cumulative years of breastfeeding). Dr. Sharron Bransburg  Zabary will actively manage the milk bank.

 

 

Dr. Ravid Shechter-Ushpizin, PhD – Co-Founer

Dr. Ravid Shechter is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of MyMilk laboratories LTD, an innovation center for breast milk analysis and clinical diagnostics. MyMilk operate a laboratory that specializes in human milk analysis and partnered with the largest private clinical laboratory in Israel – AML. Ravid received her B.Sc in Biochemistry from the Technion institute of technology and her direct track Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of science. Ravid’s scientific expertise includes immunology, developmental neurobiology, stem cell research and central nervous system repair. Ravid received many honors and prizes, including the prestigious John. F. Kennedy prize, in recognition of academic excellence and scientific accomplishments.

 

Dr. Sharon Haramati, PhD – Co-Founer

Dr. Sharon Haramati is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of MyMilk laboratories LTD, an innovation center for breast milk analysis and clinical diagnostics. Sharon received her B.Sc. in the joint program for medicine and life sciences From TAU, and her M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Weizmann Institute of science. Sharon’s valued scientific research focused on molecular genetics of behavior, psychiatric disorders, neuroendocrinology, as well as neuropsychology of human memory. During her research, Sharon also completed a program in economics, business, finance and intellectual properties.

 

Sharon and Ravid encountered and were fascinated by the field of human milk banks while founding MyMilk Laboratories, and set their own target of advancing the field in Israel.

 

 

Prof. Eidelman, neonatology, The head of the professional advisory board of the AMOTA

Prof. Eidelman, MD neonatology, the former director of NICU at share Zedek Medical center in Jerusalem, is the president of the American breastfeeding medicine association and the head of committee policy statement section on breastfeeding American academy of pediatrics. Prof. Eidelman will head the professional advisory board of the AMOTA.

MyMillk Laboratories tests are based mainly on chromatography methods , immunological methods and bacteriological methods, among others, developed by our research group. MyMilk vision is to promote breastfeeding and human milk quality by science-based means, for the benefit of mothers and babies worldwide. MyMilk partnered with the largest private clinical laboratory in Israel AML and nowadays operate a full time laboratory specialized in human milk analysis. MyMilk will provide the human milk safety testing required from human milk bank operation.

 

 

AML – American medical laboratories – Medical laboratory

AML is Israel’s largest private full-service Clinical Laboratory. AML Israel provides clinical laboratory testing services (Biochemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Blood Banking, Hormonal Analysis, Serology, Microbiology, Cancer Markers, Esoteric testing etc.) to Herzliya Medical Center (a leading Israeli private hospital), Israeli medical institutions, and private walk-in patients. AML also operates laboratory services for clinical trials to the international and Israeli pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. AML will perform the blood screen test of the Milk Bank donors.
